CSK defeated Gujarat Titans in the championship match held at the Narendra Modi Stadium. Ruturaj Gaikwad is also part of the future plans for the Indian Test Team. He has been selected to participate in the upcoming Duleep Trophy, starting on June 28, representing the West Zone team. According to a report by Crictoday, the BCCI won't rush to make changes after their loss to Australia in the 2023 World Cup Final .     Suresh Raina, a former player for CSK, recently praised Ruturaj Gaikwad and compared him to MS Dhoni, the captain of the five-time IPL champions. Raina stated in a recent interview with Jiocinema that Gaikwad is similar to Dhoni in terms of maintaining composure and focus. 

MS Dhoni is known for his straightforward approach in managing an IPL franchise and has been a prolific scorer in both league play and international cricket. 


Ruturaj Gaikwad, who hails from Pune, is a skilled batsman with excellent technique and temperament. He made his debut in 2021 and showcased his abilities by scoring an unbeaten century, 101 off 60 deliveries, against Rajasthan Royals in the Indian T20 League. 

During the 2021 season, Gaikwad emerged as the top run-scorer, earning the Orange Cap with 635 runs, and played a pivotal role in leading Chennai to their fourth championship. The franchise retained him for 6 crores before the 2022 auction.

Gaikwad made his T20I debut against Sri Lanka in July 2021 and achieved his first half-century against South Africa in June 2022. He also recorded four hundred-plus runs during the 2021–22 Vijay Hazare Trophy season, matching Virat Kohli's record for the most hundreds in a single competition. Gaikwad remains a part of the national team's plans and continues to receive opportunities.
